NC Child Care Centre celebrates Week of the Child

The Niagara College Child Care Centre is celebrating the 30th Annual Week of the Child, Monday, Oct. 18 to Friday, Oct. 22, with the help of local children’s author Toni Ferrara.

The celebration will feature several events, including a parade, food drive, presentations, special guests and much more.

On Wednesday, Oct. 20, the Child Care Centre will hold a Teddy Bear parade, beginning at 10 a.m., led by Tender Teddy and Tessy of the Tender Wishes Foundation, followed by a storytelling adventure with Ferrara at 2:30 p.m.

Ferrara, a Port Colborne native, will read her new book ‘Monkeys and Mayhem,’ a follow-up to her 2006┬árelease ‘Butterflies and Birchbark’ (Trafford Publishing). The mother of two began her dream to write after retiring from the Banking Industry.
