(Niagara Falls, ON) February 7, 2012 – Niagara Falls Comic Con today announced that Niagara College has been secured as title sponsor for the June 9th event set to take place at the Scotia Bank Convention Centre.
“We’re really excited about working alongside the Niagara College for this year’s event, the first at the Convention Centre” said Chris Dabrowski, co-organizer of the Con. “What makes this announcement even more special is the fact that we’re (co-organizer Paul Tappay) both Niagara College alumni. This partnership and event is a great example of a 100% Niagara-homegrown initiative”.
“Niagara College is honoured and pleased to be supporting a local event of this calibre, and we look forward to working with event organizers in helping make this an annual event that draws from across Niagara and beyond,” Gord Hunchak, acting Vice President, Student and External Relations. “This partnership provides us with a great opportunity to showcase our leading-edge media, design, video gaming, acting, and broadcast, radio, television and film programs, while supporting entrepreneurship in our community,” added Hunchak.
The announcement comes just two days before Early Bird tickets for the Con are made available to the public. Early Bird tickets will be available this Friday starting at 10am by visiting http://www.NFComicCon.com or in person at Pulp Comics at 4413 Queen St., Niagara Falls.
